ATTORNEY BIO:

Jonathan was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived on Long Island with his family during his childhood. At 13, Jonathan moved with his family to Canton, Ohio where he attended high school. After graduating 11^th in a class of more than 400, Jonathan was one of only 90 accepted to the prestigious Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine’s program. Although he had wanted to become a physician for his entire life, and to follow in his father’s footsteps, after his first two years in the medical program, Jonathan was unsatisfied with his choice, and switched areas of study to the American Judicial System. He graduated in December of 1999 with a political science degree from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio.

Before turning his eyes to law school, Jonathan spent his days providing telephone technical support for an internet startup company, and spent his evenings honing his speaking skills as a professional stand-up comedian. Jonathan was fortunate enough to work with such well known comics as: Jim Wiggins (from NBC’s Last Comic Standing); Lisa Lampenelli; Jeff Dunham and Bobcat Goldthwaite.

Jonathan moved to Seattle in May 2000, and began the summer session at Seattle University School of Law, studying Criminal Law as his first course. Although originally interested in entertainment law, Jonathan found an aptitude for argument and criminal law, so he re-focused his studies in that direction. Jonathan quickly became well-known throughout the law school by first becoming vice-president, then president, of the American Bar Association chapter on campus, and increasing membership to levels that consistently earned him regional awards for service to the Bar.

While in school, Jonathan worked as an intern in both the public defense and private defense arenas. After graduating, Jonathan began his career as a public defender for the city of Shoreline, handling over 100 cases a day at times. Jonathan began at the Law Offices of Heidi L Hunt, PLLC in October of 2005. From the beginning, Jonathan committed himself to becoming one of the most well-respected well-renowned criminal defense attorneys in Western Washington. He works every day to achieve this goal by being more prepared, more knowledgeable, and more aggressive than his peers and his opponents.

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys teaching at a local Sunday School, singing at local karaoke bars, providing voiceovers for various internet radio shows, running, playing poker with friends, spending time with his beautiful wife, Amber, and their cat, Samwise, and currently is raising money for the Make-A-Wish foundation and has raised nearly $3000 through health and fitness goals.
