I just want this to be over. How long will the legal process take?

There are many factors that will determine how long your DUI case takes to make it through the legal system.  Depending upon the state of the law at the particular time of your DUI arrest, it may be in your best interest to either settle your case quickly or to drag it out for a long time.  I had one particular case that I continued for over two years but it meant the difference between my client spending less than six months in jail as compared to 2 ½ years in prison.  Other cases can be resolved with only a few court appearances.  Please realize that a good lawyer will not settle your case simply to get it over with.
